- Comment: Social Justice - Still confused when my own assessment of social issues conflicts with church leaders' pronouncements as to that is being disobedient or being legitimate disagreement.
- We need Fr. Le-Minh more involved? Less involved? Just right? Comments?
- More Involved - 7
- Less Involved - 0
- Just Right - 3
- Comments:
- The team is awesome, but it would be nice to get to know the priest more.
- It would be great to have him teach 1 or 2 more classes.
- I'd like to see more of Fr. Le-Minh
- More info on the mass, not just the order, but also why, as well as what is done different @ Holy Days.
- Too much reading? Too little? Just right? Comments?
- Too Much - 0
- Too Little - 1
- Just Right - 7
- Comments:
- Great reading - I would have liked to do more with follow up in class or extra meetings for those who want to.
- The reading was good. It was nice to have and read to have questions ready for class.
- Sometimes I wasn't sure what to read before class. I would have liked to know the subject and what to read called out specifically.
- Scripture Sharing was too much? Needed more of it? Suggestions to improve attendance? Other comments?
- Just Right - 4
- Too Much - 0
- Need More - 2
- I didn't get much from Scripture Sharing. Maybe a weekly (voluntary) bible study would be a good replacement.
- A little rushed, but good.
- Improvement - sometimes the questions assumed I knew more. I'd actually like to be lectured to at times. In my case I was/am here to learn. I respect the fact that there are those that know much more than I, but I was looking for teaching more.
- Helped w/understanding the reading & how it ties.
- Comments: Might be helpful to ask a volunteer among the students to take a weekly reading, study it and present/lead the discussion.
- The notebook is a waste of money? Helpful? Should be expanded? Comments?
- Awesome.
- Reading it again.
- Loved it.
- Helpful.
- Just right, nice.
- Sharing w/others outside of RCIA
- Very helpful. Great resource.
- Very useful.
- Enjoyed it. More articles would be great too.
- Having online would be nice also.
- Chad's comment: it is online, but we could make sure they know that.
- Email list - too many? Needed more? Just right? Comments?
- More, loved the weekly announcements.
- Great! I loved it.
- Just Right - 5
- Needed More - 1
- Good & Useful.
- Sending out earlier (a few days prior to class).
- What would you change about RCIA to improve it for next year?
- Short church tour @ beginning of year. Designated section in church to sit together.
- Something to get new people comfortable & involved in the church.
- Better planning & organization.
- Great program, made me feel good every week to attend.
- Longer for the Catholics just needing Confirmation.
- Just Fine.
- Speaking as someone from a non-Catholic background. I would have found it useful to and "do" Catholic worship and pious practices just to be able to step into the shoes of devout or practicing Catholics. Looking around at people in church you get a confusing picture of what is expected of you.
- Sometimes 2 hours just doesn't seem like long enough :)
- Snacks too much? Too little? Just right?
- Just Right - 6
- Sign up sheet/reminders would be nice.
- Awesome.
- Good, except sometimes I forgot to bring mine.
- Excellent
- Didn't always know how much too bring. Maybe pass around a list?
- Did we have too many small groups? Too few? Comments?
- There were good if there was a strong team member in the group.
- Too few - that's how we get to know each other better.
- Just Right - 4
- Too Few - 2
- I didn't think we broke into many small groups. More might help make it a tighter group.
- I enjoyed the lecture, Q&A format, but a few more small groups would be nice.
- Too many Sat. retreats? Not enough? Just right? Comments?
- Those were difficult for me to attend, but really enjoyable.
- There were good, but I felt sensitive to any time at them being wasted.
- Just Right - 4
- Need to be spread out.
- Not Enough - 1
- I enjoyed our retreats - always something new to learn.
- Good.
- I think they were just right, except I would move the Eucharist retreat closer to Easter.
- Deacon involvement? More/Less involved? Just right? Comments?
- Just Right - 7
- Wonderful. They were all great and made the journey so rich for us.
- I loved hearing the deacon's stories during the retreats. Very touching.
- It was perfect. Having the Deacons shows us that here there are people w/families, living and teaching the way God wants us all to be.
- Very Good.
- Deacons were very helpful.
- Good.
OTHER COMMENTS
- I got so much more out of this class than I ever thought I'd get out of it. Thanks.
- It was an awesome experience. Everyone was helpful and supportive.
- I have really enjoyed these classes. I would like to hear more about bible study.
- I love it all!!! Thank You!
- Thank you for being here teaching us and giving us the material to read. What I enjoyed most was how everything we do is tied and referenced in the Bible and is tied to our Jewish roots. I will be honest the NFP was my least favorite due to the fact that I am not married and just something that makes me uncomfortable.
- Thank you so much for a wonderful class. I had a great experience and look forward to continuing to grow in my Catholic faith, building on such a strong foundation as was provided to me over the past 8-9 months.
- I like the wiki site, and would like to see it used a little more, posting the video from the "lecture" sessions as well as notes, links for other sessions.
- Coming into RCIA as an active Protestant, I would have been very interested in coming for a least one or more separate classes addressing those specific issues and providing some support with the difficulties in that transition - separate so that catechumens don't have to be burdened with those issues - or maybe dividing us up so we could discuss/learn more about the relevant issues.
